Why this piece?
I chose to revise this because the original just did not do enough for me. I actually know some people who were victims of sexual abuse and sometimes this is how they are. Broken. I wrote this because people need to know, no matter what your profession, you are still a human! Male or female, no one deserves to be abused or forced to do anything against their will. Just because you dress or look a certain way, does NOT make it okay for someone to touch you without your permission. As a cosplayer, I know many others have experienced this. Just because they were dressed as a certain character, people thought it was okay to make advances. Well it isn’t. Natasha is stronger than I could probably ever be. Working in a strip club, she deals with this kind of harassment constantly and sadly, she’s use to it. Unfortunately, this is very similar to women in the same field in real life. I do not feel great about writing this experience, but I felt it was necessary. The character who violated her was purposefully not named. People like him don’t deserve to be. They will not be marked down as anything other than a violator.
