About Me
Hey there! Though you may have seen me as Storm, Gamora, Raven, or any of the other characters I've portrayed, most people call me Shadava or Ava. I'm only twenty-five years young with three crazy older siblings. My favorite color is blue, and even though I technically classify as goth, I am a shameless Twihard.
Let's face it. I'm weird, but then again, who would ever want to be normal? I often dress up in strange clothing and pretend to be other people or species. Well, that is the average life of a thespian and/or cosplayer. Both of these are large parts of my life. It's my dream to get an Oscar, and one day I plan on making that dream come true. As far as cosplaying, I just think it is wildly fun and thrilling to dress up, especially when you get to go to conventions and hang out with fellow nerds.
On the other side of the spectrum, I have an intense passion for writing. I started writing my own book in high school, but unfortunately, my sister had it erased when she wiped the laptop, and my story was forever lost. Nevertheless, I continued writing fan-fiction, poetry, and other short stories. I plan to give my book another try and actually finish it without it getting erased! Writing lets me release my creativity, and I want to let other people in on some of the wild ideas I have.
When considering the other geek side of me, I collect comic books, bookmarks, and limited edition soda cans and cups (typically Marvel or DC related). Superheroes mean a lot to me, especially Captain America, and I try to go to every opening night or weekend for all Marvel and DC movies. I can only recall maybe four that I did not attend.
Music is inspiring, and it's what keeps me going sometimes. I primarily listen to rock, metal, alternative, or classical music. My favorite band in the entire world is Slipknot! On September 28th, 2016, I saw Slipknot live for the first time, and that was one of the greatest nights of my life. During one of their songs, Corey Taylor (the lead singer) walked over to my side of the stage, pointed in my general direction, and I swear we made eye contact. I know it seems silly, but I was just so happy to be there. I love the band (and Corey) irrevocably.
Lastly, gaming is a huge part of my life. I'm not sure how I could survive without them. I've been a gamer since I was a child, and after being introduced to Overwatch, there's no way I'll ever stop gaming. In fact, my friends and I meet up every Saturday just to hang out and play video games. I.E. "Game Night." It's very enjoyable, and I look forward to it every week.
Well, that's basically me, and I hope you enjoy my work!
